Decarbonising Public Sector and Commercial Buildings.

Energy-intensive buildings don’t have to rely on gas. Our latest project with Falmouth Town Council at Falmouth Pavilions Theatre and changing rooms is a prime example of how air source heat pumps can replace aging heating systems — even in large, complex spaces.

Working with the appointed installer, we specified and supplied an air source heating system to meet the heating and cooling demands of this iconic venue. Two Maxa i-32V5H Midi 32kW air source heat pumps, alongside a two-pipe heating and cooling network with low-temperature fan coil radiators, each delivering 7kW from a compact unit.

Key benefits for the client:

  • ~80% carbon emissions reduction vs gas
  • Improved thermal comfort & energy efficiency
  • Long-term operational cost savings

This project reinforces a crucial point: older and even historic buildings can successfully transition to heat pumps when the system is designed to align with their needs.
