HWA2 – The new range of reversible chillers and heat pumps with scroll compressors and R290

The strong push towards decarbonization, combined with the need to use refrigerants that have less impact on the external environment, drives factories to continuously innovate.

In this context, the innovative range of MAXA chillers and reversible heat pumps, named HWA2, is introduced. The new product range covers a power range between 70 and 170 kW and uses R290 gas as a refrigerant, known for its excellent thermodynamic properties both in heat pumps and refrigeration units.

Sustainability, technology, and reliability make this range suitable for both commercial and industrial applications. Furthermore, the use of the R290 refrigerant gas ensures compliance with the strictest greenhouse gas reduction regulations, guaranteeing perfect operation both in summer and winter.

The range is available in both cooling-only and reversible heat pump versions and is divided into 8 different sizes with different power capacities.

All HWA2 units share the proprietary MAXA control system, which allows for precise and flexible management. They are equipped with fixed-speed scroll compressors, available in both single and dual refrigeration circuit configurations, and offer various configurations with numerous accessories and setups.

Thanks to a maximum water temperature of 78°C, the HWA2 range facilitates and enables the replacement of winter heating systems based on combustion devices, allowing a transition to electric systems without any compromise in terms of comfort and reliability.

Maxa will officially present the HWA2 range at ISH 2025 in Frankfurt, the most important international event dedicated to air conditioning, heating, and energy efficiency technologies.

During the event, which will take place from March 17 to 21, 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to discover in detail the features of this new range at the Maxa booth, located in Hall 12, Stand E02.
